Earlier today, the organizers of this year’s AURA Music & Arts Festival unleashed a killer Phase 2 lineup to complement its already strong Phase 1. Highlights include the headlining addition of DJ collective, Thievery Corporation, jamtronica pioneers theNEWDEAL, Particle, Snarky Puppy, the Werks, and our personal favorite, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, among others.
These additions join a lineup already jam-packed with nationally acclaimed acts like The Disco Biscuits, ALO, Turkuaz, and the Main Squeeze. This year will mark the 7th straight AURA Festival, which will take place once again at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, home of this year’s heavily-attended Suwannee Hulaween Music Festival.
This will be our first year attending AURA, and we really couldn’t be more excited. The only band really remaining on our wish list at this point is Twiddle. Like our previous festival coverage, we’re interviewing a few bands from the lineup to provide some context behind the groups performing throughout the weekend. In fact, last week we wrapped up an interview with Eric Gould, lead bassist of Pink Talking Fish and former founder of Particle, which will be published sometime in the next couple weeks.
A limited number of Early Bird Tickets are on sale now for just $129, and $275 for VIP (all taxes, fees and camping included), but ticket prices will increase Sunday, December 13 at midnight ET. Learn more here, and make sure to check out this year’s awesome Aftermovie.
