7 Reasons We’re Checking Out The Inaugural Same Same But Different Festival

There’s a multitude of reasons why we’re excited to be heading out to Lake Perris, California for this year’s inaugural Same Same But Different Festival! As a tradition at Sound-Fix, we’d like to share 7 of the top reasons we’re excited to be apart of the first ever SSBD Festival! That being said, we aren’t 100% certain of what we’re in for. What vendors will be there? How far is the campgrounds from the music? What activities will there be? Take a deep breathe, buckle your seat belts and enjoy the ride because that makes it even more exciting! The idea behind the Same Same But Different Festival is to open you up to genres, artists, and experiences that you may not have if you didn’t attend the event. Let’s get started!

1. We’re heading out to Lake Perris, California.

This one speaks for itself. I can’t think of a more gorgeous plot of land in Southern California to host a music festival. The Lake Perris State Recreation Area offers endless beauty, from the range of mountains that surround you, to the wild life. But the best part about the location is Lake Perris, one of the most desolate and mystical lakes in Southern California. It’s not easy to find a lake in this area in general, so to have a music festival in Southern California that offers swimming and boating is a dream come true!

2. Duel stages

One of the best features of a small festival is the duel stage concept. This allows for you to explore the beautiful grounds as well as have music go all night without missing a beat! Not to mention there will be no overlaps, so you don’t have to worry about missing a set! This also makes it easier for fans to head over to the other stage and get up close on the action for their favorite acts!

3. The music

For being the year that birthed SSBD Festival, the lineup is off the chain! Right off the bat: Lettuce, The Floozies and BoomBox — Wah-Bam! Who else? A handful of Southern California based acts that you may or may not have heard of. Some that we’re excited to see are KNOWER, Band of Gringos, Bomb Squad, and The Routine to name a few. On top of that Dirtwire, Moon Hooch, Late Night Radio will all be there alongside all the other music we’ll be discovering this weekend. Boil this down in one pot and we’ve got ourselves a party!  SSBD Festival schedule listed below.
