SAN DIEGO, CA — Brothers Gow will wrap up their 7 show winter tour at Winstons on Friday, February 8th, 2019. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 by clicking here. A limited amount of tickets will be available at the door for $15 cash the night of the show, but they will sell out so don’t sleep on getting yours! Doors to the venue will open at 9:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 10 p.m.
Brothers Gow is currently preparing for two nights at Rafter’s in Mammoth Lakes, CA after having played three nights in Arizona and one in Costa Mesa, CA which took place after the final night of NAMM 2019. Yesterday, to honor the 50th anniversary of The Beatles last performance which took place on top of Apple Studios in London, Brothers Gow reenacted the performance on the roof of OB Brewery! We had the chance to catch up with drummer Nathan Walsh-Haines there to get a feel what’s happening in the world of Gow!
Brothers Gow set out to get the year started on what they called their Winter Jaunt. These guys love to play in their home state of Arizona, and are always well received when they do. For Nathan, one of the biggest highlights of Winter Jaunt so far was playing at Flagstaff Brewing Company in Flagstaff, AZ.
NWH: “It’s super punk rock. There’s no real stage so the people are up close and personal. I was getting high fives in between songs which is peculiar for me because I’m a drummer. I’m used to the guys being up front and me in the back, so that change of pace was a cool experience.”

Rafter’s is another smaller venue that Brothers Gow has frequented in the past. It’s attached to the Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa so the space has a real log cabin look and feel to it. Some notable aspects of the venue are its high ceilings and tall stone fireplace.
NWH: “The only thing is getting up there, but once you’re there, you’re there! The guys can go skiing during the day and go out for a meal before the shows. It’s a nice mountain retreat for us.”

NWH: “Winstons is easily one of our favorite places to play. We feel so at home there. We live in Ocean Beach so it always feels good to be able to bring it to our hometown crowd. The staff is awesome and the vibe is so friendly and positive. It’s laid back but super amped up at the same time. I cant wait for our show February 8th!”
Once Brothers Gow’s Winter Jaunt wraps up at Winstons, they’ll be spending the rest of the month of February focusing on recording a new album. This will take place at Electric Waste Band drummer Ed Fletcher’s San Diego based studio. This will be the first studio album they’ve released since Reflections in 2014, and their first album with keyboardist Alex Mello.
NWH: “Alex [Mello] has an amazing ear and is creative about everybody’s playing, not just his own. It’s important for us to put out a tape with Alex on it because it represents the new Gow. He’s really helped develop the music, and he’s got some great chops that will be featured on the record. He’s just a great dude and we feel refreshed having him around. We’ve had a lot of comical moments in the van, he’s hilarious!
