Event Preview: Horizon Wireless & Tweed w/ McZwang + Ebbs at The Knitting Factory

Tommorrow night, the Knitting Factory is hosting an impeccable lineup of electronica and jam set to have everyone dancing the night away at the beloved little Brooklyn venue. With NYC psy-dance duo Horizon Wireless and Phillidelphia jamtronica group, Tweed, headlining as well as some great support, this Saturday night dance party is sure to kick off the first weekend of the New Years right!

Horizon Wireless has been a well-established name in the NYC jamtronica scene for years, and their live performance holds up to the hype. Last time the duo played at the Knit they brought the party to a packed house, opening for Manic Focus. Check out a clip!

With Daniel’s reactive drumming and Harrison’s varied mixing and samples, the duo creates unique psychedelic dance grooves with breakbeat and hip-hop flavoring that are sure to bring the heat to the cold streets of Brooklyn.

Bringing the funktronica from Philly (our 2nd favorite northeast city), is Tweed. Like the fabric worn by writers and English professors, Tweed holds more then meets the eye. Stitching together elements of funk, rock, and electronica to their high energy dance parties that like the fabric, is tightly woven and classy in an overtly intricate way, minus the elbow pads. Check out their 2017 re-cap for a taste of what they’ve been up to and what they will be bringing for 2018.

Feargasm – Tweed x Panda Media 2017 Recap

2017 has been a hell of a year. Thanks for packing out the dance floors and making it a magical musical journey for us. Here's to making 2018 even bigger and many many more scenes like this!:Track: FeargasmVideo Credit: Panda Media

These two power-houses would make quite the show on their own, but it’s got to be an extra special night to kick off 2018. So for support, we have McZwang, a duo comprised of 2 jam scene all-stars, Scotty Zwang (Dopapod, RAQ) and Ian McGuire (CIA, Let’s Danza) bringing their blend of live improv, with jazz influences played in a livetronica style. But it doesn’t end there! Additionally, we have NYC deep house producer, Ebbs, playing set breaks. How could our first show of 2018 get any better?

Tickets are available here! Start your 2018 right and don’t miss this great night at a favorite BK venue.
