Manic Focus, Jesus Coomes of Lettuce, and Artifakts Collaborate

Just yesterday, Manic Focus took to Soundcloud to unveil his latest collaboration with Jesus Coomes, bassist of Lettuce, and Artifakts. For those not familiar with Artifakts, his name is Garret Meyer, and he’s an up-and-coming electronic / hip-hop producer from Wisconsin. A few months ago, we caught Manic Focus and Break Science collaborate at the Brooklyn Bowl as “Manic Science,” and Artifakts opened. The next night, the Break Science Live Band performed at the Bowl, which is basically all of Lettuce, including Jesus Coomes, and Borahm Lee, the producer and keys player in Break Science. To finish connecting the dots here, Adam Dietch is the drummer in both Break Science and Lettuce, and he’s homies with Manic Focus. So with all this said, this collaboration was a somewhat surprising combination of artists, but when I thought about it for a quick second, it made perfect sense, and it sounds like perfect sense. Released through GRiZ’s All Good Records, “Snap Like This” will certainly be a frequent addition to set lists this summer. Enjoy.
