TAUK announced yesterday it will release its next album on Friday, September 16th. This will be the band’s first studio album since 2014’s Collisions, and follows their 2015 debut live album, Headroom. When we interviewed Charlie Dolan (bass) a little over a month ago ahead of the Seventh Annual Disc Jam Music Festival, he told us his band plans to produce and release at least one album per year. With this announcement, Charlie, Isaac (drums), AC (keys), and Matt (guitar) are proving to be a band you can rely on to live up their promises and musical ambitions.
In conjunction with this album release announcement, TAUK also disclosed dates for its release party, which will take place at the one-and-only Brooklyn Bowl on Friday, September 16th and Saturday, September 17th. Tickets go on sale for the two-night run tomorrow (June 30th) online and at the Brooklyn Bowl box office for only $12. The album marks TAUK’s fifth project with Grammy-award winning producer Robert Carranza (Mars Volta, Jack Johnson), which they recorded partly at their home studio in Oyster Bay, New York and partly at Carranza’s Solar Powered Plastic Plant Studio in Los Angeles.
