New Music: Space Bacon Debuts Its First Studio Release, Nodes EP

0

Bacon is the best mundane thing on planet earth. Outer Space is something I’ve dreamed about since I was a kid. When you combine the best earthly entity with something intergalactic, you get Space Bacon: a jam band based in Brooklyn I’ve followed for about a year now. These guys are on a “meteoric” rise, plain and simple. With performances at Disc Jam, The Hall at MP, and a big one coming up at Mazzstock, Space Bacon will come up in conversation if you know anything about music.  Chris, Jack, Kevin & Sam are a slew of great musicians from Brooklyn who have their collective eye on the prize. They’re focused, they’re diligent, they’re intelligent, and they just unleashed their first studio release, titled the Nodes EP (check it out here). Get a taste of the band and their studio antics in this video below.

If you’ve seen Space Bacon live, you’ll likely recognize some tracks like “Scroll” and “Dorsia.” After listening to the studio EP in full, we’re looking forward to their New York performance with Horizon Wireless, Digital Frontier, and Cosmic Dust Bunnies at the Bowery Ballroom on September 3rd (get your tickets here). Nodes EP is full of impressive jam segments, flowing peaks, and tight precision. It’s a great start to what we hope will be a long career of studio projects. To top things off, we went to Disc Jam and were so inspired by Space Bacon’s kick-ass show that our “house” artist, Masha Nova, decided to paint the guys in ethereal form. So, without further ado, enjoy this brand new original artwork, and feast on the the new EP. You won’t regret it.
